About this print:

Located on the edge of the Ob Sea in Siberia, Akademgorodok (Academic Town) was the centre of science for the USSR and was home to 65,000 scientists.

The town saw a huge decline with the collapse of the Soviet Union, and many residents fell into poverty.  The town is the location of an ongoing experiment to domesticate foxes that began in the 1950s.
